Esha Deol reacts to Sunny Deol’s hand pump scene in Gadar 2: ‘Just the close-up was enough…’

Esha Deol hasn’t left a chance to praise her half brother and actor Sunny Deol’s latest film Gadar 2. In her latest interview, she recalled the hand pump scene from the film and deemed it as the highlight of the movie.

In the original 2001 film, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, audiences witnessed Sunny Deol uprooting an entire hand pump to beat his opponents. However, in Gadar 2, a simple look from Sunny Deol at the hand pump was enough to intimidate and send people fleeing. Esha, speaking to Bollywood Bubble, expressed her admiration for this scene and said, “That was the highlight. I loved it. They just had a shot of him (Sunny Deol) looking at the hand pump, and people just got scared and ran. It was amazing. Just the look and the close-up of that moment was enough for people to get scared. That was the beauty of that scene.”

Earlier, in an interview with India Today, Esha had shared her joy over the success of Gadar 2. She had said, “I knew how much bhaiya had been shooting for it and it really meant a lot to him. And when it is doing so well, we are all equally happy for him and it is well deserved. Only Sunny Deol can do what he did in a film like Gadar 2.”

Sunny Deol’s action-packed film has become the second Hindi film to join the prestigious Rs 500 crore club, following Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. On Friday, director Anil Sharma hosted a grand celebration in Mumbai for the Gadar 2 cast and crew. It was attended by numerous Bollywood stars including Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kartik Aaryan, and many more. Alongside Sunny Deol, Gadar 2 stars Utkarsh Sharma, Ameesha Patel and Manish Wadhwa in pivotal roles.
