Esha Deol on her bond with Sunny and Bobby Deol: ‘I have been tying rakhi to my brothers since I was a kid’

Esha shared that they have a mutual respect for each other. While she acknowledges the public’s curiosity due to their celebrity status, Esha firmly stated that the question of whether she ties a Rakhi to her brothers remains private and beyond ‘anyone else’s business.’ However, she later revealed that she indeed ties Rakhi to Sunny and Bobby every year ever since she was a kid. Esha also emphasized that they do not feel the need to validate their relationships to anyone.

When Hema and her daughters didn’t attend the wedding of Sunny’s son Karan Deol, there was speculation about their relationship with each other. However, following the remarkable success of Gadar 2, Esha praised Sunny for his exceptional performance in the film. She told India Today, “I knew how much bhaiya had been shooting for it and it really meant a lot to him. And when it is doing so well, we are all equally happy for him and it is well deserved. Only Sunny Deol can do what he did in a film like Gadar 2.”

Dharmendra and Hema Malini married in 1980 when he was already married to Prakash Kaur and had four kids – sons Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and daughters Ajeeta and Vijayta. They became parents to daughter Esha Deol in November 1981 and welcomed their second daughter Ahana Deol in July 1985.
