														Ekta Kapoor evaded tax to the tune of Rs. 30 crore,IT officials
The raids were carried out on Tuesday (April 30) by a team of over 100 officers.
The Income Tax department,which conducted raids at the residence of Ekta Kapoor and her Balaji Telefilms office,said that the filmmaker and TV producer has evaded taxes to the tune of Rs. 30 crore.
The raids were carried out on Tuesday (April 30) by a team of over 100 officers. Sleuths from the department swooped down on seven locations across the city,including her father Jeetendra and Ekta’s residence in suburban Juhu,as part of the searches.
IT officials said that apparently taxes were evaded by augmenting cost during the production stage of the various projects undertaken by the company in the last six years.
