Varun Dhawan has stressed attainment of gender equality and has urged his fans to respect women in Year 2015.

The son of director David Dhawan took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share his views.

“In 2015 if you follow me or even like me a little promise to not objectify women and disrespect them treat them as people,” he tweeted Thursday.

The actor welcomed 2015 in Las Vegas and wrote: “2015 is here the future is about to be cracked open #vegas” along with a photograph.

After debuting with “Student Of The Year”, the actor has found a special place in the tinsel town.

This year, Varun has mixed movies like “Badlapur” and “ABCD 2” in his kitty.
