Divya Khossla says cosmetic procedures like Botox has left all celebrities looking ‘the same’: ‘You can figure out which doctor they went to’
Divya Khossla recently stated that undergoing cosmetic interventions and injectables like Botox has created an environment where many appear like indistinguishable clones of one another.

Although discussions regarding bodily autonomy, accentuated by slogans like “my body, my choice,” continue to be prevalent, it seems that when it comes to cosmetic procedures, not everyone is on the same page. At a time when terms like Botox, fillers, and facelifts have made their way into our daily vocabulary, conversations about whether these procedures should be seen as a personal choice or as adherence to the entertainment industry’s unrealistic beauty standards are also ongoing.
Meanwhile, actor and filmmaker Divya Khossla recently shared her two cents on the topic, keeping the dialogue alive. Mentioning that undergoing cosmetic interventions and injectables like Botox has created an environment where many appear like indistinguishable clones of one another, she criticised celebrities like socialite Kylie Jenner for promoting such practices. “These days, all faces look pretty much the same. People who go to doctors in Mumbai look a certain way, and those who go to doctors in Dubai look a certain way. Based on one’s face, you can figure out which doctor they went to. You know they visited which doctor in which clinic in which part of the city,” she said during an interview with News18.
She added, “I don’t believe in external fillers and Botox. The moment you hit puberty, that’s the first thing a lot of girls start doing. My mother never even allowed me to touch bleach or use it on my face.” Referring to the Jenner sister, Divya said, “We’ve seen Kylie Jenner. She’s so young, but she has started looking too mature for her age. We should all allow ourselves to age naturally, and we may end up looking better than we did a few years back. The idea is to let ourselves be the way we are.”
Expressing her dislike for using even artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance her photos, she stated, “Thoda imperfection toh hona chahiye. I don’t even like it if they correct my pictures using AI. I just hate it. I tell my team ki, ‘yeh kya kar diya hai!’ Some pictures look so fake, they don’t even look like the real me. I like my round face. People tell me that it doesn’t meet the beauty standards of the industry, but I’m fine with it.”
Divya Khossla, however, isn’t the first or the only celebrity to have publicly denounced such procedures. Kareena Kapoor Khan has also maintained that she’s “very much against Botox”. While celebrities like Rajkummar Rao and Khushi Kapoor have admitted to undergoing cosmetic treatments, Kajol once pointed out that such choices are deeply personal and should not be judged. Divya Khossla was most recently seen in director Umesh Shukla’s Ek Chatur Naar, where she shared the screen with Neil Nitin Mukesh.
