Legendary actor Dilip Kumar,who was admitted to a hospital here on Sunday after suffering a heart attack,is recovering but is under observation.
“He (Dilip Kumar) is doing fine. He is recovering,but is under observation… there is nothing to worry. He will be there in hospital for two-three (more) days,” sources close to the actor told PTI today.
Last evening,a press release from Lilavati Hospital,where the 90-year-old thespian is admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU),said that Dilip Kumar had suffered a myocardial infarction (heart attack) Sunday. All treatment as per protocol was instituted. At present his condition is stable.
The hospital also stated that,”In view of his advanced age and post bypass status,he needs close monitoring in the ICU.”
The veteran actor had undergone a heart surgery 14 years ago,his wife Saira Banu said.
The legendary actor is known for his memorable roles in films like “Mughal-e-Azam”,”Madhumati”,”Devdas” and “Ganga Jamuna”.
