‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!’ gets an average start, ‘Furious 7’ rocks Box Office

Though ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy’ earned rave reviews from the critics, it has certainly bowed down to the Hollywood release ‘Furious 7’.

Director Dibakar Banerjee’s latest venture at the Box Office ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!’ starring Sushant Singh Rajput has opened to an average start at the box office with Rs 4.2 cr.

Though the movie earned rave reviews from the critics, it has certainly bowed down to the Hollywood release ‘Furious 7’. Having released on over 1240 screens in India, the movie hopes to do better work in the coming days, owing to the good word of mouth.

‘Furious 7’ that released on Thursday (April 2) made around Rs 13 cr on the opening day. With this, the movie is set to be the biggest opening weekend in India, even better than Bollywood releases.
