Designer duo Rimple and Harpreet confirm their involvement in Ramayana hours after leaked first looks of Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi emerge

Designers Rimple and Harpreet have confirmed that they are crafting the costumes for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles.

Designer duo Rimple and Harpreet are set to design the costumes for the upcoming mythological film, Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Known for their stunning work in Padmaavat, Housefull 4 and Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, the duo is thrilled to be a part of this mammoth project, which has been generating significant buzz ever since initial rumours surfaced.

In an interview with news agency IANS, Harpreet expressed their excitement, stating, “We are absolutely elated and honoured to be entrusted with the monumental task of designing costumes for Ramayana.” While Rimple added that this opportunity “feels like a true blessing.” “Ramayana holds unparalleled significance in our country’s cultural heritage,” she added.

Acknowledging the immense responsibility, Harpreet emphasised, “Ramayana not only embodies the essence of timeless values and virtues but also serves as a guiding light for generations.”

Harpreet further shared the duo’s dedication to the project, stating, “We are deeply committed to bringing forth the richness and intricacy of this epic tale through our designs, paying homage to its profound impact on our collective consciousness.”

Recently, a couple of photos purportedly leaked from the film’s sets had surfaced online and instantly went viral on social media. The pictures featured both Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, donning costumes and makeup seemingly for their roles in Ramayana. The film reportedly boasts an impressive ensemble, including Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Lara Dutta portraying Kaikeyi and Arun Govil as Raja Dashrath.
