Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra bond well on ‘Bajirao Mastani’ sets

The young stars of today are changing the norms of BTown and how. So, while one can see Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor painting the town red with their bromance, there is the Priyanka Chopra – Deepika Padukone duo, who is negating the phrase ‘Two actresses can never be friends’ by every means.

The actresses, who are often pitted against each other in the race to Numero Uno, are working together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’, revolving around the relationship between a Maratha general, played by Ranveer Singh and a Muslim princess. While Deepika plays the role of the Muslim princess and Bajirao’s second wife, Mastani, Priyanka portrays his first wife Kashibai.

Deepika joined the sets of the movie to start her portion of the shoot and bonded rather well with Priyanka. The two were often spotted laughing and chatting away like old friends and didn’t behave like rivals.

The camaraderie between the two dates back to when they shot for Karan Johar’s talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’. The episode was a laugh riot and the actresses seemed really comfortable with each other.

Seems they have carried this bonhomie further to the sets of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and we must admit, we are happily surprised.
