Deepika Padukone angrily confronts ‘fan’ secretly filming her and Ranveer Singh’s daughter Dua at airport; netizens slam videographer

While one user wrote, “Hey, please delete the video as both Ranveer and Deepika have strictly restricted pictures of their daughter,” another netizen maintained, “I don’t think you should be posting this, especially if the parents haven’t given consent.” In a strongly-worded note, another Twitterati stated, “I hate you people with a burning passion. Deepika specifically said she doesn’t want her child’s face out there, and yet a so-called ‘fan’ felt the need to video it. Even though you can see DP is not happy in the clip, you still shared it anyway.”

Earlier this year, during her birthday meet and greet with the media, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor had also requested the paparazzi not to click pictures of their two-year-old daughter Raha Kapoor. While the couple had also kept Raha’s face under wraps for the first year, they chose to reveal it during the annual Christmas Kapoor luncheon in 2023.

However, following a stabbing attack on their brother-in-law and fellow actor Saif Ali Khan in front of his wife Kareena Kapoor and kids Taimur and Jeh at their residence earlier this year, Alia explained to the media that she and Ranbir have decided not to get Raha clicked anymore to respect their privacy.

Deepika and Ranveer welcomed Dua on September 8 last year. Last December, the couple invited the paparazzi to introduce their daughter formally. For months, the paparazzi had been requesting the couple to present Dua, and the duo finally obliged by hosting them at their residence. However, the couple was reluctant to have her photographed, as they wished to reveal her pictures themselves at the right time.

On the occasion of last Diwali, Deepika and Ranveer revealed their daughter’s name, “Dua Padukone Singh,” along with a heartfelt message: “Dua: meaning a prayer. Because she is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are filled with love & gratitude.” Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in 2018. The couple last shared screen space in Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Singham Again the previous year.

Interestingly, at the trailer launch of that film, Ranveer revealed Singham Again was his daughter’s “debut.” “There are so many stars in this film. So, let me tell you this is my baby’s debut, baby Simmba. Deepika was pregnant during the shooting,” he said. While Deepika gave the event a miss, Ranveer further revealed, “I am on night duty, so I have come (for the trailer launch).”

On the work front, Ranveer will be next seen in Aditya Dhar’s action film Dhurandhar, slated to release in cinemas on December 6. He’ll then begin filming Farhan Akhtar’s crime drama Don 3. Meanwhile, after delivering Dua, Deepika will return to the movies with Atlee’s next directorial, co-starring Allu Arjun.
