Chhaava box office collection day 4: After a string of commercial disappointments, actor Vicky Kaushal has not only made a massive comeback but is also poised to deliver Bollywood’s first blockbuster of 2025 with the historical actioner Chhaava. At the same time, the film has also reinforced Rashmika Mandanna’s reputation as a lucky charm at the box office, marking her fourth consecutive theatrical hit after Varisu (2023), Animal (2023) and Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024). Following a stellar debut and a strong opening weekend performance, the movie successfully passed the crucial first Monday test, earning nearly twice the combined total of the next seven highest-grossing Hindi films of the year on their respective first Mondays.

On Monday, Chhaava recorded an India nett collection of an impressive Rs 24 crore, although this reflected a 50.52 per cent drop from its Sunday earnings of Rs 48.5 crore, according to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk. This brings Chhaava’s domestic total to a staggering Rs 140.5 crore, with its worldwide gross standing at Rs 164.75 crore. Mounted on a reported budget of Rs 130 crore, as per Koimoi, the film has already broken even and become the first major Hindi release of the year to surpass its budget with ease.

Not only is Chhaava’s first Monday collection significantly higher than that of any other Bollywood release this year, but it is also nearly double the earnings of films such as Sky Force (Rs 7 crore), Deva (Rs 2.75 crore), Emergency (Rs 1.05 crore), Fateh (Rs 0.95 crore), Azaad (Rs 0.65 crore), Badass Ravikumar (Rs 0.6 crore) and Loveyapa (Rs 0.55 crore) on their respective first Mondays.
