Choreographer Farah Khan has worked extensively with film producer Boney Kapoor and in a recent vlog on her YouTube channel, Farah recalled an incident when Boney arranged for many helicopters in the middle of the glaciers of Alaska and used them like rickshaws. Farah was talking about the shoot of Pukar, starring Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit, which took them to Alaska for the shoot of the song “Kismat Se Tum.”

Farah, in a chat with Boney and his daughter Khushi Kapoor, recalled that the shoot location was accessible only via helicopters and Boney had arranged tens of helicopters for the crew. “So your father was using helicopters like rickshaw,” she said. Farah said that here, director Rajkumar Santoshi, expressed that he wanted to have Indian food and Boney found an Indian cook in the middle of nowhere and presented a spread for the crew.

“We were in a remote corner of Alaska, which is like the North Pole and Boney laid out a spread of butter chicken, naan, biryani, paneer and dal makhani. I was like ‘what is happening!’. He found some Indian cook and ferried everything there. Chopper was being used like Dunzo for delivery,” she shared.

Farah also shared that Boney never spares any expense and is ready to reshoot if he is not happy with the footage. She shared that her husband Shirish Kunder has edited some films for Boney and has always had a grand experience. “My husband has edited some movies for your dad and he would tell me that I have not seen any other producer like Boney. Because if it is not looking good, he doesn’t think twice. He will call the director and he will say just reshoot it all over again and just make sure that it looks good. Others will say ‘anything goes’ but Boney will say ‘no, shoot it again’, even though he would go in a loss,” she shared.

Boney’s last film Maidaan was a big flop at the box office.
