Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi will be seen sharing screen space for the first time in filmmaker Karan Sharma’s Bhool Chuk Maaf. The makers unveiled the film’s teaser on Tuesday, offering a glimpse into the intriguing premise. The teaser showcases Rajkummar’s character trapped in a time loop.

In the movie, Rajkummar and Wamiqa play lovers all set to tie the knot. The teaser begins with the two sitting with their parents, discussing their wedding date. Rajkummar is keen on having the wedding on the 30th. The scene shifts to their haldi ceremony, where a cheerful Rajkummar is seen being smeared with haldi by his relatives. He tells Wamiqa that only one day remains until their big day and that soon they will become husband and wife. However, when Rajkummar wakes up the next day, something unexpected happens—it’s still the 29th, the day of the haldi ceremony. This cycle repeats multiple times, leaving Rajkummar dejected and disheartened.

The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, a production house that appears to be on a winning streak this year, having already delivered two major hits—Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force and Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava.

Bhool Chuk Maaf will release in theatres on April 10.

On the work front, Rajkummar Rao has announced Toaster, a project co-produced by his wife, Patralekha, which also stars Sanya Malhotra in the lead role. The actor also has the gangster drama Maalik in the pipeline.
