Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha box office collection day 3: Ajay Devgn-Tabu deliver lowest opening weekend of their collaborations; mints Rs 6.75 cr
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha box office collection day 3: Neeraj Pandey's film has raked in the lowest opening weekend for an Ajay Devgn and Tabu-starrer, lagging behind their past collaborations.

After the disastrous opening, Ajay Devgn and Tabu-starrer Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha failed to resurrect itself during the opening weekend despite slight growth. The film showed a 16 percent increase in its collection on Saturday, minting Rs 2.15 crore. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the film showed a slight growth on Sunday as it earned Rs 2.75 crore, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 6.75 crore.
However, the film’s growth isn’t impressive given the box office results the collaboration of these two stars have delivered in the past. Tabu and Ajay’s hit onscreen jodi began with the 1994 blockbuster Vijaypath. Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has had the lowest opening weekend compared to their past films. Their previous collaborations – Drishyam (2015), Golmaal Again (2017), De De Pyaar De (2019), Drishyam 2 (2022), and Bholaa (2023) – have been hits at the box office. Their last collaboration, Bholaa, raked in Rs 30.8 crore within the first three days of its release. Drishyam 2 minted Rs 64.14 crore, De De Pyaar De made Rs 37.24 crore, Golmaal Again raked in Rs 87.6 crore, and Drishyam minted Rs 23.15 crore in the same time period.
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has even lagged behind Ajay’s last disaster, Maidaan, which was a massive box office failure itself. Maidaan collected almost Rs 14.50 crore on its opening weekend, 128 percent higher than Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’s opening weekend.
It isn’t just Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’s debacle that is worrying the film industry, but also the abysmally low box office numbers of Janhvi Kapoor’s Ulajh, which released simultaneously with the Ajay Devgn-starrer. Ulajh has performed worse than Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and has raked in Rs 4.90 crore in the first three days of its release.
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’s initial growth was stunted despite the Buy One Get One (BOGO) promotion on the first day. The film wasn’t able to bounce back on the opening weekend, putting its box office performance in jeopardy. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film also stars Shantanu Maheshwari, Jimmy Shergill, and Saiee Manjrekar in pivotal roles.
