Atlee confirms name of baby boy after Shah Rukh Khan reveals it during Ask SRK session on Twitter

Director Atlee on Sunday officially revealed the name of his baby, a day after superstar Shah Rukh Khan mentioned the name during his Twitter chat with fans. Shah Rukh has collaborated with Atlee for his upcoming film Jawan. The director is known for massy Tamil actioners like like Theri, Mersal and Bigil.

During his Ask SRK session on Twitter, when a fan had asked Shah Rukh a specialty of Atlee that he enjoyed the most, the superstar had tweeted, “@Atlee_dir is very dedicated and smart. Also now he has such a lovely baby Meer and Priya feeds me very good food. #Jawan.”

On Sunday, Atlee and his wife Priya took to Instagram and posted a picture with their baby, announcing the name publicly for the first time. They welcomed their baby boy in January this year.

“Yes the name is MEER ❤️ Very happy to be revealing our little angels name ❤️👼🏻 #meer #babyboy,” the Instagram caption read.

After being in a relationship for years, Atlee and Priya finally tied the knot in 2014.

During the Ask SRK session, Shah Rukh Khan also praised Atlee for his direction and tweeted, “For me at least it’s a new kind of a genre. An Atlee special and the marriage of trying to bring two ways of making films in tandem.”

Jawan, headlined by Shah Rukh, is scheduled to release on September 7. The film will mark Atlee’s Hindi debut, along with actors Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. Jawan also features Deepika Padukone in a cameo and reportedly features Shah Rukh in a double role–as father and son.
