Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma went on his knees a year back and proposed to his lady love, Bollywood actress Asin with a 20-carat solitaire worth Rs 6 crore.

We stumbled upon a picture of actress Asin flaunting a grand solitaire on her ring finger. Now for all we know, Asin, who has lately been making headlines due to her impending marriage, is not officially engaged to fiance Rahul Sharma, Micromax co-founder.

But according to a report published in Times of India, Rahul went on his knees a year back and proposed to his lady love Asin with a 20-carat solitaire worth Rs 6 cr.

The report says, “Rahul gifted Asin a 20-carat solitaire (specially imported from Belgium), that he personally got designed from one of their common designer friends. The ring is currently valued at Rs 6 crore. It has a monogram of the couple ‘AR’ (A for Asin and R for Rahul) under the diamond and the band of the ring, that is also made of diamonds, carries a personal message from Rahul to Asin engraved on it.”

Around the release of ‘All Is Well’ starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor and Asin, it was revealed that the actress would be tying the knot soon with her long time beau and now fiance Rahul Sharma. Asin was also quoted as saying that it was Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who made Asin and Rahul meet for the first time.

It’s also reported that both the families have been waiting for Asin’s professional commitments to get over and now that they are over, the formal fesivities of the wedding are expected to soon begin.
