Veteran actor Aruna Irani has opened up about her experiences working with actors like Rajesh Khanna, Shatrugan Sinha and Amitabh Bachchan. While Irani was all praise for Khanna and revealed that people were scared of him, about Amitabh, Irani said that he was never friendly with anyone on the film sets.

In an interview with Zoom Entertainment, Aruna said, “Rajesh Khanna was a good actor. He was very good to me. People used to get scared of him a lot. But I did not. He used to call me ‘ben’. He used to be like ‘aye ben, chalo khana khaane. Time hogaya’.”

Talking about Amitabh, she said, “Amit ji used to stay aloof from the very beginning. He used to just spend time in how own room or his vanity van. I have never seen him get friendly with anyone.” When asked about Shatrugan, she added, “I never had a great friendship with him. But we used to talk sometimes.” Irani also said, “I had a good rapport with the heroines also. I don’t know why they liked me.”

Previously in an interview with Rediff.com, Irani had said that Amitabh is a very courteous man, who always returned calls no matter how busy he was.

She had said, “As an actor, he is a legend. Also, when I worked with him in Bombay To Goa, he was not as famous. But now, even after he has acquired so much fame, he is still the same. He doesn’t have any attitude (problem). If I were in his place the fame would have gone to my head. He has lived up to his potential; more than lived up to it. I doubt Amitji can ever be replaced.”
