Archana Puran Singh and her family returned to YouTube after a brief break from vlogging, due to the passing of their dog, Drama. Her son, Aaryamann Sethi, revealed in his latest video that Drama was just nine years old, and that he contracted jaundice and died in the span of one week. Joined by his partner, actor Yogita Bihani, Aary said that he knew that Drama wasn’t going to survive, but it was all very sudden. Sitting in front of the patch of land where they buried him, Aary said that Drama must be in ‘doggie heaven’, doing all the mischief he would be scolded about.

He said that his brother, Ayushmaan, was out of town when Drama died, and that he was very upset about not being there. His parents were also distraught, he said. “But everybody has their own way of expressing grief,” he added, explaining that the entire family needed a couple of days away from their vlogging careers to focus on Drama and themselves. He proceeded to play a short video documenting Drama’s entire life, from when he was a playful puppy to when he became older. The video also included dozens of stills and clips of the entire family playing with Drama.

“Drama was the happiest puppy. He had a blast. He would chew up the furniture, lick the floor. He’s taught all of us how to live life. He was the happiest, sweetest, nicest dog, and we will miss Drama. It still feels heavy, it’s difficult to let go. We’ve all felt terrible about what has happened… Life can change so suddenly. Drama wasn’t old. In one week, he fell sick and he was gone,” he said.

Aary explained that even after the initial shock during the first few days after Drama’s passing, he and Yogita made the conscious decision to not vlog. But they said that they will return with renewed energy, doubly focused on the things that are the most important to them. “We want to leave a positive impact on society. We want to promote the right things. We want to help the environment, we want to live a sustainable lifestyle. But this won’t happen overnight,” he said, as Yogita added, “Basically, we want to grow to become the people we want to be.”

The video ended with the entire family saying goodbye to Drama, and watching an ad that Aary appeared in. The comments section was flooded with condolence messages as well. One fan wrote, “He must have done something in his past life that he slept peacefully forever without giving trouble to anyone.” Another fan commented, “I feel you. This is the hardest goodbye. This love for them and the love we receive from them is so different. Only people who have dogs at home can relate. It will get better with time. Take care.”
