If you found Ranbir’s unhinged Vijay too dark and violent, there is a bloodier and bulkier version of him who seems to be the star of the sequel. Here, Aziz, who is a professional butcher, has taken a vow to take revenge for his brother Abrar’s (Bobby Deol) death but now Aziz looks exactly like Vijay. In true filmy fashion, Aziz seems to have gotten a plastic surgery done so he now looks exactly by Vijay, and is also played by Ranbir Kapoor.

As the end credits roll, we see Aziz, who now looks exactly like Vijay, enter a room with two butcher knives in his hands. He turns to Tripti Dimri’s Zoya to ask her if he looks like Vijay now. Aziz’s entry is just as gory as the rest of the film as he mercilessly kills two of Vijay’s men and their blood splashes on his face.

After this, the text on screen reads ‘Animal Park’ along with ‘visit soon’, which hints at a sequel. If the next part is made, it will be a showdown between Aziz and Vijay, where both characters will be played by Ranbir Kapoor.

Ranbir has previously played a dual role in Shamshera, where he played the role of both father and son. Earlier this year, Shah Rukh Khan also played a dual role in Jawan where he played both father and son.

Animal has drawn mixed reactions from critics with many calling the film misogynistic. However, the audience seems to be enjoying the film as the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial made Rs 61 crore nett domestic on its opening day. The film has surpassed the opening day collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, which made Rs 57 crore on its first day.
