Anil Sharma addresses ‘bade ghar ki beti’ Ameesha Patel’s demand she should go to Pak in Gadar 2, changing film’s climax: ‘Tara Singh pagal hai…’
Anil Sharma refuted Ameesha Patel's claims of changing Gadar 2's climax without her knowledge, stating that she signed the film after reading its script.

Actor Ameesha Patel has been vocal about her disappointment with Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma. Earlier, she expressed feeling ‘cheated’ after Anil Sharma allegedly changed the film’s climax without her knowledge. However, in a recent interaction, Anil refuted these claims, stating that Ameesha signed the film after reading its script.
Speaking to Vickey Lalwani on his YouTube channel, Anil responded to Ameesha’s accusations, saying, “Everyone is free to share their opinion. I don’t throw stones in dirt. For me she is still part of the family. When she was new, she would come to my daily for 5-6 hours and she prepared with me on how to play Sakina. I have seen a good phase with her but woh bade ghar ki beti hai, bade ghar ke baache moody hote hotey haina, woh bhi moody hai (She is a rich kid. Mostly people from rich families are moody and so is she).”
He added, “She comes from a raees and khandani family. When she would come to our house for rehearsals, she would come wearing solitaires worth crores and in a Mercedes car worth Rs1 crore. I decided to cast her because she was pretty, she wasn’t a very good performer but she learned it and she worked hard for it and she worked for 6 months to become Sakina. And she had that attitude that mostly kids who come from rich family have and that fitted my character.”
Addressing Ameesha’s claim that the climax was changed without her knowledge, Anil said, “If she has that much understanding than she is free to make the film. It’s an open market. Who is stopping her?
Ameesha had earlier claimed that she was verbally informed that her character, Sakina, would accompany Sunny Deol’s Tara Singh to Pakistan to kill the villain. Responding to this, Anil said, “Which actor doesn’t want to increase their screen time but it wasn’t possible in our story. Also, she signed the film after reading the whole story. Is Pakistan a tourist centre that Sunny Deol will take everyone there. Already his son was captured by Pakistani forces and on top of that he would also take his wife? Ameesha’s character would have been a soft target and then Sunny Deol’s character would have gotten trapped. Tara Singh pagal hai kya jo biwi ko bhi leke jaega (Is Tara Singh mad to take his wife to Pakistan).”
When asked whether Ameesha pressured him to change the climax and involved the production studio, Anil said, “That all kept happening—I don’t want to get into that.”
