Earlier this month, Amitabh Bachchan shared a tweet on his social media which read “time to go.” His fans were quite curious what this tweet meant and they finally got a chance to ask the star about it on the stage of Kaun Banega Crorepati. In a new promo shared by the channel, the studio audience can be seen asking Big B about his tweet and what it really meant. They also tell him with love, “Aap yahan se kahin nahi jaa sakte (You can’t go anywhere.)”

In the promo, Amitabh read out the tweet and then asked his fans if there was anything wrong with it. “Usme kuch gadbadi hai kya? (Is there anything wrong with it)?” One of the fans present as the studio audience asked, “Kahan jana hai? (Where do you want to go?)” Big B tried to reply as he said, “Jaane ka samay aa gaya hai matlab… (It’s time to go that means…)” And immediately, one of the fans jumped in and said, “Aap yahan se kahin nahi jaa sakte (You can’t go anywhere).”

At this point, Amitabh directly explained what his tweet actually meant and said, “Arre bhaisahab, humko kaam pe jaane ka samay aa gaya hai (Sir, it’s time to go to work).” As soon as Amitabh offered this explanation, the audience broke into applause and laughed with him. He shared that his shoot at KBC gets over late at night and by the time he gets back home, it’s 1-2 am. He said his tweet was left incomplete because he dozed off in the middle.

Jaane ka waqt… So gaye. (I get free by 2 am from here, sometimes I get home by 1-2 am. I dozed off while writing that. Time to go… And I slept).”

Amitabh Bachchan has been hosting KBC for around 25 years now. The show started in 2000 and Bachchan has hosted all seasons of the show, except one which was done by Shah Rukh Khan.
