Alizeh Agnihotri reveals Salman Khan’s reaction to her acting ambition: ‘He laughed a lot’

Alizeh Agnihotri, the niece of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, is gearing up for her debut in the film Farrey. In a recent interview, she shared Salman’s reaction to her decision to pursue acting professionally. Alizeh revealed that while Salman had been encouraging her to enter the world of acting for some time, she chose to embark on this career path only when she was confident about it.

In her conversation with Pinkvilla, Alizeh said, “When he used to tell me that, ‘I feel you are going to act,’ I used to be like, ‘No, I don’t know.’ I was very shy. I didn’t want to say that I am an actor till I discovered for myself if I can do it. I had been training for a few years and one day I called him and told him that I am thinking of doing it professionally and he laughed a lot. He told me, ‘When I told you that you should do it professionally you were like no. So, it’s funny that you are saying yes.’ So, he took it in a great way and I remember his laugh. He has made this situation less serious for me. He always jokes and laughs about it. He has lightened this for me and I am very grateful for that.”

Alizeh also shared what she has learned from her uncle Salman’s illustrious career. She said, “He is young at heart. He has such a great energy. Even till today, he is so excited about every film he does. He does it with so much passion. It is so admirable because after such a long career when you don’t even need to do it anymore, you are still waking up with that same happiness everyday. That’s something I look up to.”

Alizeh Agnihotri, daughter of Salman Khan’s sister Alvira Khan and actor Atul Agnihotri, acknowledged the pressure of coming from a filmy family and the expectations that come with it. In her earlier interaction with the media, Alizeh said, “I feel the pressure. I am human. It would be abnormal not to feel the pressure. It is clearly a very stressful situation. You have to say the right things. It is extremely stressful, but I’m very happy at the same time.”
