Alia Bhatt picks matcha over dal, calls Alpha her first action film; fans say, ‘She wants to forget Jigra like everyone else’
At Milan Fashion Week 2025., Alia Bhatt spoke about her upcoming film Alpha, which is part of Yash Raj Films' hit spy universe and also stars Sharvari in lead role.

Alia Bhatt, who is Italian luxury fashion house Gucci’s Global Brand Ambassador, looked stunning at the brand’s showcase at Milan Fashion Week 2025. While in Milan, Alia participated in a rapid-fire round with Diet Sabya and listed her favourites.
During the round, Alia was asked to choose between dal and matcha, and the actor chose matcha but explained, “Most definitely matcha but dal is love, it’s my life. Dal is old love, but matcha is new love.” When asked about her dream cast for a Hollywood blockbuster show Challengers, she said, “Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal because we are already doing Love And War together.” Challengers starred Zendaya, Mike Faist, and Josh O’Connor.
When the question was to choose between her all-time favourite fries and makhanas, the actor went for the healthy option but with a grudge, “This is not fair but Makhana, but I can swap the fries and make carrot fries. That will be awful but I need a daily snack, I can’t have fries every day but I can’t give up fries. This is a no question.” Alia, who repeated her wedding day saree and wore it when she received a national award for the film Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022), promoted rewearing clothes and said, “It is extremely cool to repeat outfits. It shows you have a connection with them.”

When asked what she would give up, paddle or gym, she stuck to gyming and gave up paddling. “Working out in gym is like building muscle for the future, it is more important. But I love paddle, but I will leave it for gym. What a stupid question.”
Alia is also making headlines after she called her upcoming film Alpha her ‘first action venture’. In one of the viral videos from the fashion week, she is seen stating, “Alpha releases in December, 2025. 25th of December. Wow! It’s pretty close. Yeah, that’s the big one for me because it’s my first venture into action. And I’m really curious to see how the audience connects with that.”
So, Alia Bhatt doesn’t consider Jigra and Heart of Stone as action films. Alpha is releasing this December.

For the unversed, Alia’s last film Jigra, which she co-produced with Karan Johar, was promoted as her first action outing. The film showed her performing various action scenes to rescue her brother from a jail overseas. Jigra, however, was a box office disaster. Netizens were quick to call Alia out for her statement. A comment read, “She’s so insecure about her flops even Ranbir talks about them. Alia learn to be more vocal about failures too.” Another one read, “She wants to forget it like all of the audience did.”
