Alia Bhatt gets ‘jhumkas’ as gift from fan, Ranveer Singh claims them: ‘Deepika Padukone will be very happy’

The song has been sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal and composed by Pritam. The actors spoke about their love for the track. Ranveer said at the press conference, “Kuch to special hai in Arijit’s voice and so does Shreya’s voice and Pritam da. Mujhe aise type ke gaane kam hi ache lagte hai; main to Jhumka Gira type ka chappri Hun Na (There’s something special about Arijit and Shreya’s voice and Pritam’s music but I rarely like such songs as I am a fan of songs like Jhumka Gira).”

Although expressing shyness, the actor also crooned the lyrics to the song and then making Alia do the rap part of the track What Jhumka, much to the entertainment of the audience. Adding to this, Alia said, “We feel so fortunate that our songs are being sung by these stalwarts.”

The team of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has started their multi-city promotions ahead of the film’s release on July 28. The film brings Ranveer and Alia together onscreen for the second time after their critically and commercially acclaimed film, Gully Boy.

The film, directed by Karan Johar, marks two milestones for the filmmaker. It brings him back to direction after seven years, with last one being Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and also commemorates his 25 years in Bollywood.

The film’s story revolves around two lovers, who come from very different cultural backgrounds and how they decide to make it work by swapping homes and staying with their potential in-laws to test compatibility.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’s cast also includes veteran stalwarts like Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.
