Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, who will be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s actioner Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and are busy promoting the film, are similar in many ways. Akshay has been describing his co-star as “quite like himself” in his recent interviews. The duo, who appeared on the latest episode of The Ranveer Show, disclosed how they are alike and share a mutual love for sports and sleep.  “Tiger and I are similar in many ways. Bade arse baad koi apna sa mila hai (After many years, I have met a costar who is like me). We both love playing sports, are serious about our fitness and sleep early. We both don’t like partying either,” said Akshay.

Akshay, who is known for his fitness, has often spoken about how his day starts at 4 am-4.30 am because he sleeps early. Sharing a funny anecdote about Tiger, who avoids parties just like himself, the Khiladi actor, shared, “Even during the Bade Miyan Chote Miyan wrap party, we told the producer, ‘Jaldi jaldi cake kato yaar, humein sone jana hai (Please cut the cake quickly, we want to sleep).” He added that Tiger would evidently be bored at the party and couldn’t wait to crash in bed.

“Main iska chehra dekhta hoon yeh bhi ubaasyian le raha hai (When I looked at him, Tiger would be yawning). He was looking here and there, clueless and waiting for it to get over. I could feel what he was thinking, ‘Kab khatam hoga yaar taki main jake so jaoon (when will this get over so that I can go home and sleep),” narrated Akshay, adding, “Raat bani hai sone ke liye aur din bana hai kaam karne ke liye (Night is meant for sleep and day is meant to work).” The 56-year-old said he loves staying connected to his roots.

Tiger, who admitted that a disturbed sleep schedule impacts both his punctuality and productivity, added, “I can’t function without an 8-hours sleep. I have learnt both discipline and time management from sir (Akshay) while my shoot for the film)”
