Aishwarya Rai cheers for nephew Agastya, Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol have a reunion: Inside pics from The Archies premiere

The premiere night, obviously, was a star-studded affair. Shah Rukh arrived and even happily posed for the paps with his family, having the girl of the moment, Suhana, right by his side. Shah Rukh has been particularly reclusive in posing for paps in recent times, but the rule was bent as his proud-daddy mode was on display— along with the adorable The Archies T-shirt he wore under his blazer.

Shah Rukh also had a quick reunion with his close friend and longtime collaborator Kajol, as the duo met at the screening. Images showed Shah Rukh joking with Kajol, who is laughing. In another image from the screening, Shah Rukh was seen interacting with Emmy Award winner Vir Das, almost leaning to kiss him with happiness.

It was also the night when the entire Bachchan family arrived in black— except for Jaya Bachchan, who was seen in white. But the outfit colour wasn’t the only thing that matched, as the family—Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek, Aishwarya, Aaradhya, Shweta, Nikhil Nanda—was seen proudly cheering for Agastya Nanda. His sister Navya Naveli Nanda was also at the premiere.

As Agastya posed solo, ‘mami’ Aishwarya was seen cheering for him and asking him to get used to posing alone for paps as he makes his debut.

The grand family also had a grand moment at the red carpet, when they all posed together for the cameras. This was a big moment, considering just a few months ago the internet couldn’t stop talking about how Aishwarya had cropped Jaya Bachchan, Navya Naveli out of photo while wishing Amitabh Bachchan.

The night also saw the ‘Animal’ of the moment Ranbir Kapoor busy talking to Ranveer Singh. The two were clicked having a discussion. “I hope fans don’t find a reason to start wars in the comments, they are just standing,” a Reddit user commented. Animal has emerged as a huge blockbuster and is on its way to challenge the mighty collections of Pathaan and Jawan.

Also in attendance at the screening were couples Hrithik Roshan and Saba Azad, Aditya Roy Kapur and Ananya Pandey, Sunny Kaushal and Sharvari among others. The Indian adaptation of the beloved classic, The Archies is directed by Zoya Akhtar, who has co-written it with Reema Kagti and Ayesha Devitre.
