Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan returned to Mumbai last night after attending the Cannes Film Festival in France. The mother-daughter duo were photographed by the paparazzi stationed outside the Mumbai international airport, and to everyone’s delight, Aaradhya smiled at them and greeted them with a namaste.

Aishwarya and Aaradhya flew out of Mumbai to attend the Cannes Film Festival earlier this week. The Ponniyin Selvan actor is a Cannes veteran, as she’s been attending the prestigious film festival for several years. Aaradhya has been accompanying her to the French Riveria for year as well.Watch video:

Netizens were mighty impressed with Aaradhya’s gesture and poured in their love for her. One person took to the post’s comment section and wrote, “Her sanskaar❤️❤️,” another wrote, “Sanskar dekho vo namaste kr rhi hai sbko 🥺 wow.” Many social media users also noted how, for a change, Aishwarya was not holding her daughter close to her, and the two were instead seen smiling and chatting away with glee.

Aishwarya recently opened up about how Aaradhya loves attending the festival. In an interview on the sidelines of the festival, she was asked how she feels to bring her daughter to Cannes, a town that she first started visiting with her own mother back in the day. Aishwarya told Film Companion that Aaradhya feels at home at the Cannes Film Festival, and knows her way around the place. Asked what Aaradhya’s takeaway from the whole experience of Cannes is, Aishwarya said, “Isn’t this a question that she should be answering? At some point in her life, I guess she will.”
