Seeking God’s blessings can sometimes be slightly tough. And it was for filmmaker Farah Khan, actors Sonu Sood and Shekhar Suman as they made their way to Mumbai’s renowned Ganesh pandal, Lalbaugcha Raja, to seek blessings from Lord Ganesha on Tuesday.

According to a video that has surfaced online, the trio can be seen making their way through a jam packed crowd, without much success as the queue barely moves forward. While Shekhar Suman is seen shielding an elderly from the massive crowd, Farah Khan was captured ‘sandwhiched’ between Sonu Sood and her friend and looked visibly uncomfortable..

In a video shared by Voompla, where Farah was seen walking with her friend looking slightly distressed, the filmmaker choreographer commented, “There was too much crowd.. just wanted a quiet darshan.. IM absolutely fine.. just too many people pushing n pulling 🙏🏼”

Later, Farah shared a video from her darshan and thanked the security and the volunteers. “Had the most amazing darshan of #lalbaughcharaja .. right at his feet.. despite whatever ul see in videos of me looking incapacitated due to crowds i just want to say it was all worth it thank you to the security, the volunteers , n the police who handle such crowds daily with such care n understanding.. n thank you to my dearest @sonu_sood for taking me with him. N @rakesh_kothari24 for personally escorting me.Its a divine experience for every mumbaikar #ganpatibappamorya.”

She also responded a troll for questioning her. After the person wrote, “I thought she was Muslim,” the director-choreographer shot back, “so???”

Fans were happy to see the personalities avoiding the privilege and standing in queue to seek blessings, though a few commented that Sonu Sood “deserved” VIP line for darshan. “Bhagwan k darbaar me sab barabar… Na bada chhota, na ameer garib (Everyone is equal at God’s place),” a fan wrote while another commented, “Aam janata ko dhakke khane ki aadat hai….Aaj celebrities bhi Jaan gayi asli life”.

On the work front, Farah Khan’s last directorial was Happy New Year starring Shah Rukh Khan, almost a decade ago. Though the filmmaker has tried to mount several films later, nothing has materalised so far. But Farah has been busy as a choreographer, with her latest work on Jawan’s chartbuster Chaleya going viral for its inventive hook step.
