Veteran actress and politician Hema Malini has sold two apartments in Mumbai’s Oshiwara locality for Rs 12.50 crore, according to property registration documents accessed by squareyards.com. The apartments, located in the upscale Oberoi Springs complex, are identical in size, each with a carpet area of 847 sq ft and a built-up area of 1,017 sq ft. Both were sold at Rs 6.25 crore each and include car parking space. The transactions attracted a stamp duty of Rs 31.25 lakh per apartment, along with registration charges of Rs 30,000.
Situated in Andheri West, Oberoi Springs is considered a prime residential hub, popular among celebrities and professionals alike. The area offers premium housing options and is well-connected through the Western Express Highway, SV Road, suburban railways, and the Versova-Ghatkopar Metro corridor, making it one of Mumbai’s most sought-after localities.
What is Hema Malini’s net worth?
As per the affidavit filed during her Lok Sabha nomination from Mathura last year, Hema Malini declared a net worth of Rs 122.19 crore. Her total assets amount to Rs 123.61 crore, with liabilities of Rs 1.42 crore.
The affidavit also revealed that the actress’ wealth portfolio includes inherited property worth Rs 2.96 crore, shares and investments valued at Rs 2.6 crore, automobiles worth Rs 62 lakh, jewellery valued at Rs 3.39 crore.
Additionally, the actress owns multiple properties, including land and Pulse House in Jai Hind Cooperative Society (Mumbai), a flat on Gokhale Road (Mumbai), a flat in Chennai, and a bungalow in Omaxe City, Vrindavan, collectively valued at nearly Rs 113.6 crore.
Hema Malini made her film debut in 1963 and rose to stardom with the 1968 release Sapno Ka Saudagar. She went on to become one of Hindi cinema’s most celebrated actresses during the 1970s and 1980s, delivering numerous memorable performances. Beyond acting, the veteran star is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, having performed extensively across India and abroad. In addition to her artistic achievements, Hema Malini has been active in politics for over two decades and currently serves as a Member of Parliament from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
