Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ earns Rs 100 cr on 4th day of its release

Aamir Khan's recently released 'PK' has finally entered the Rs 100 cr club on the fourth day of its release.

‘PK’ has minted more than Rs.100 crore in four days in India and the “overwhelming” response has moved the movie’s actress Anushka Sharma.

Aamir Khan’s recently released ‘PK’ has finally entered the Rs 100 cr club on the fourth day of its release. This feat comes after the movie collected a whopping Rs 92.50 cr within 3 days of it hitting the theatres.

‘PK’ has collected Rs.116.63 crore in the domestic market, read a statement. It had become the ninth movie in the list of the 2014 movies that have achieved the feat.

‘PK’ happens to be one of those very few movies which have seen such a huge jump in collections from Day 1 (Day 1 – Rs 26 cr), mainly due to the humongous word of mouth.

The movie had collected Rs 55 cr in first two days. On the first day, it earned about Rs 26 cr. The next day, it managed to mint Rs 29 crore. ‘PK’ is being liked by people in metropolitan cities and is likely to maintain steady figures in coming days too.

With ‘PK’ being his fourth 100 cr grosser, Aamir Khan now stands at the third spot in the list of actors with Rs 100 cr movies. The list is headed by Salman Khan with seven 100-cr grossers and Shah Rukh Khan with five. Rajkumar Hirani now has two 100-cr grossers in his kitty, with Rohit Shetty leading the list with 5.
