There is no doubt that Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani are one of the most prolific actor-director duos in Indian cinema. Be it their first collaboration, 3 Idiots, or their second film, PK, both films became two of the biggest successes across the world. Probably why, when Rajkumar Hirani, who was part of the Creator X Creator event at the unveiling of SCREEN in Mumbai on October 18, shared an anecdote about Aamir Khan from the days when they were making 3 Idiots. Answering a question about how many South cinema stars wear quite simple attires, and at times, it becomes impossible to differentiate them from the crowds that throng to cheer them, Hirani spoke about Aamir Khan to assert that an actor doesn't always need to have starry airs. "When I went to narrate 3 Idiots to Aamir Khan, he was wearing a simple dress and a torn rubber chappal. It is all about feeling secure as an actor, and being comfortable in your own skin," he said. Vijay Verma, known for his impressive sartorial choices, chipped in to add that being in the world of showbiz, at times, it is also important to put your best foot forward. "I remember Pankaj Tripathi telling me that more than being the topic of the current discussion, it is important to last in someone's memories," he said.
