WBCHSE Semester 3 HS Result 2025-26: How to check
WBCHSE President Chiranjib Bhattacharya said the third-semester exams of Class 12 were held under strict supervision. “A total of 122 centres were identified as sensitive, and electronic devices, including mobile phones, were completely banned to ensure fairness,” he added. While there were several security features in the question papers, more sets had been kept ready in case of any report of paper leak. Three candidates had their exams cancelled for attempting unfair practices.
Under the new format, the question papers are structured to assess both analytical and writing abilities. While semesters one and three include multiple-choice questions to test reasoning, semesters two and four emphasise short and descriptive answers to build writing skills. Candidates wrote their papers in 66 subjects in four language mediums — Bengali, Englist, Hindi and Santhali.
With this examination, the state has officially moved away from the traditional annual system that had been followed since 1978. The results declared today mark the beginning of a new academic structure for West Bengal’s higher secondary education.
