Candidates who appeared in the UPSC exam can check results at the official website — upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in.UPSC Mains Results Released 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the results for the civil service mains examination 2024. The mains examination was conducted from September 20 for five days. Candidates who appeared in the UPSC exam can check results at the official website — upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in.
Aspirants who cleared the UPSC CSE examination will now appear for the interview, which is the final stage of the recruitment process. The interview will carry 275 marks and it will have no minimum qualifying marks.
The commission has released the roll numbers of the candidates who have qualified for the exam. Dates for the personality tests will be notified to the selected candidates in due time. The interviews will be conducted in the Office of the Union Public Service Commission at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi.
The exam is held to test the eligibility of aspirants admitted into the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Grade A and B posts in the central government and its departments.
To check results, students have to visit the official website — upsc.gov.in. On the home page, click on the result link. A new page will open up in the form of a PDF and search for your roll number in the PDF. Download the PDF for future reference.
The eligibility test is conducted in three stages including prelims, mains and the interview test. The Main exam is descriptive and will be preceded by an interview round to test the candidate’s personality.
This year, the CSE prelims exam was held on June 16 in two shifts, i.e. GS paper 1 in the morning shift starting from 9.30 am and GS paper 2 beginning at 2.30 pm. The candidates will be required to produce the original certificates in support of their eligibility/reservation claims.
Once the interview is completed, the shortlisted candidates will fill administrative positions in different All-India services and central civil services including IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and IRTS.
Meanwhile, the Commission released its revised annual calendar where it has outlined the schedule for various recruitments and examinations to be conducted next year. The calendar also notifies the date of the examination, however, the dates, notification, commencement, and duration of examinations and recruitments are liable to alteration if the circumstances so warrant.
