Government schools saw a strong performance with 91.26% pass rate, where 3,71,827 students appeared and 4,07,419 students passed, including compartment clears.
A total of 8,17,261 students appeared for the Tamil Nadu Class 10 exams this year. Of them, 8,71,239 students passed, indicating successful supplementary attempts as well.
Private schools achieved the highest pass percentage at 97.99%, followed by aided schools at 93.63% and government schools at 91.26%, reflecting a consistent performance gap.
For the first time, both boys and girls recorded a 100% pass rate in the SSLC 2025 results. This marks a historic improvement in performance for both genders.

Of the total 8,71,239 students appearing, as many as 8,17,261 students have passed. Of the total appearing students, 4,36,120 students were boys and 4,35,119 were girl students. As many as 4,00,078 boys and 4,17,183 girl students have passed. There was one transgender student who appeared. The pass percentage in the transgender student is 100 per cent.
