TN SSLC 10th Result 2024 Updates: Result declared at tnresults.nic.in; Ariyalur best district

The best performing district this year is Ariyalur, followed by Sivagangai and Ramanathapuram at the second and third spots. The pass percentages of all the districts:

The registration for the TN 10th supplementary exams will begin from Monday, May 11. The students who want to apply for re-evaluation can apply from May 15 to 20. The re-examination will be held on July 2.

The TN Class 10 SSLC provisional marksheets will be issued from May 13 to the students.

The students can also access the TN SSLC 2024 results at the National Information Centers operating in the District Collector’s Office and at all central and branch libraries. The facility to access the TN 10th result from National Information Centers is provided free of charge.

There is 100% pass percentage in TN 10th class public exams at Government School for Visually Impaired, Poontamalli, Chennai. All 15 students who wrote the 10th class general exam have been declared as pass.

Yes, the overall pass percentage this year has been recorded at 91.55% which is a minor increase from last year’s 91.39 per cent, and 2022’s 90.07 per cent.

Like last time, girls have outperformed boys by scoring an overall pass percentage of 94.53 per cent, while boys scored 88.58 per cent. However, girls' performance has dipped a little in comparison to last year's 94.66 per cent.

In a unique move, the Tamil Nadu government has announced special coaching classes from May 13 for students who will fail to get a passing grade in TN 10th results today. School Education Department announced that mock exams will be held every Saturday. 

This time, the TN 10th results can also be checked at the National Information Centers operating in the District Collector's Office and at all central and branch libraries, free of charge.

This time, TN 10th results will also be sent via SMS to the registered mobile number of students who enrolled for the TN SSLC exams. 

This year, more than 9 lakh students appeared for the TN 10th results, which were conducted from March 26 till April 8 at 4107 centers

In order to protect students from the impact of heatwave, schools have been asked to avoid conducting special classes during the ongoing summer holidays. The amil Nadu Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena has asked district collectors to ensure these orders are followed across the state.

The government has also reiterated that all kinds of coaching, special classes and programmes should also be avoided during summer holidays by all government and private schools in Tamil Nadu to protect children from the impact of heat and heatwaves.

Experts are expecting the maximum temperature to go upto 40 degree Celsius -- till May 16 -- in several regions of Tamil Nadu.

Last year, girls performed better than boys by scoring 94.66 per cent, which was 6.5 per cent more than boys' pass percentage.

"It is heartening that the pass percentage of government schools is increasing. We will make special arrangements for students who do not write well. Parents should not pressurise the students. Continuous steps will be taken to improve the quality of education," said the minister of education last year.

Interestingly, no student scored 100 out of 100 in Tamil language last year.

Last year, a total of 89 students in English, 320 students from Social Studies, 3584 students from Science and 3649 students from Mathematics secured 100 per cent marks.

The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examination (TNDGE) will tomorrow (May 10) release the result for the Secondary School leaving certificate examination (SSLC) or class 10 examination at 9:30 am. The SSLC results and detailed scorecards will be available at the official websites — dge.tn.nic.in or tnresults.nic.in.

The online marksheets of class 10 students can be downloaded from the government website- dge.tn.gov.in by entering their roll number and date of birth. These mark sheets are provisional in nature. 

In 2020 and 2021, the Tamil Nadu government had decided to promote and pass all the Class 10 SSLC students. In 2021, the schools issued leaving certificates mentioning class 9 marks, based on which students took the admission for class 11 or polytechnic. In 2020, the students were marked based on quarterly and half-yearly assessments for the board examination. 

For a student to pass Tamil Nadu SSLC board exams 2024, a candidate must score atleast 35 marks in each subject. Those who fail to score the minimum qualifying marks will be declared fail by the board.

Tamil Nadu Board SSLC Class 10th students can check results at tnresults.nic.in, dge1.tn.nic.in, dge.tn.gov.in, dge2.tn.nic.in.

Students will be able to see their results using the roll number and date of birth mentioned on their TN hall tickets.
