TN 12th Result 2024 Updates: 94.56% students pass +2 HSE, Tiruppur best performing

The pass percentage among the girl students is 96.44 per cent, while it is 92.37 per cent aming boys. According to reports, as many as 3,93,790 female students and 3,25,305 male students passed the TN HSE+2 exam this year. The overall pass percentage is 94.56 per cent (7,19,196).

The total number of students taking the TN +2 HSE in arts and vocational was 11,585 and  33,256 respectively. Of them as many as 9,925 students passed the TS plus 2 exam in arts and 28,549 in vocational.

Tiruvannamalai is the least performing district. 90.47 per cent students have passed from Tiruvannamalai.

As many as 397 government schools have 100 per cent pass rate. No students in these 397 schools have failed.

Of the 7,60,606 students appearing the TN HSE +2 exam this year, as many as 4,86,961 students appeared in science. The total number of students taking the TN +2 HSE in arts and vocational was 11,585 and 33,256 respectively. As many as 4,69,177 passed from the science stream and 9,925 students passed the TS plus 2 exam in arts and 28,549 in vocational. The overall pass percentage this year in TN HSE +2 exam is 94.56%.

This year, as many as 7,60,606 students appeared for the TN HSE +2 exam, however the number of students appearing in the TN Class 12 HSE +2 exams has declined over the years. While there were 8,42,512 students in 2019, the number of students dropped to 7,79,931 in 2020. The number although increased in 2021 to 8,16,473, however, it again dropped to 8,06,277 in 2022 and 8,03,385 in 2023.

The tnresults.nic.in website has now made the TN HSE +2 result link active. Students will have to insert their registration number and date of birth in the dd/mm/yyyy format to check and download the TN Class 12 HSE+2 result 2024.

The TN plus 2 result scorecards will be available at the official websites – dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in.

Students will have to mandatorily score 35 marks per subject out of a total of 100 marks. All the subjects in TN HSE +2 comprise of a their component, a practical component and internal. While 15 marks out of 70 marks in theory must be scored in each subject, 35 marks in total is mandatory. For languages and subjects without practical, students will have to score a minimum of 25 out of 90 marks.

The TN board +2 HSE result 2024 will be announced anytime soon at tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in.

As many as 326 schools in Tamil Nadu board last year recorded a 100 per cent pass percentage in the TN +2 HSE result.

The Directorate of Government Examinations Tamil Nadu is set to declare the TN +2 HSE result soon. The tnresults.nic.in website says "HSE(+2) Results is expected on Monday, 6th May 2024 @ 09:30 A.M."

As many as 32,501 students obtained 100 percent in at least one subject in TN +2 HSE results last year. In 2022, it was, 23,957. These are the number of students scoring 100 per cent marks last year subject-wise:

After the announcement of the TN Class 12 results 2024, students who fail to clear the exams will be given the opportunity to appear for the TN HSC +2 supplementary exams. Information about the TN Class 12 supplementary exams 2024 will be announced after the TNDGE result declaration. 

Information on Tamil Nadu HSE +2 result 2024 revaluation will be announced during the TNDGE Class 12 result declaration. Students unsatisfied with the result can apply for revaluation during the process.

The TN results 2024 marksheets will be distributed to the students soon. Students will be able to access the TNDGE 2024 result HSC +2 qualifying status and marks obtained in the individual subjects from tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in websites.

Out of the total 4,398 students in PwD category, as many as 3,923 passed TN board HSC Class 12 result last year. The number of students in all the categories stream-wise appearing this year in TNDGE Class 12 and the number of qualified students will be announced today along with the Tamil Nadu +2 result 2024.

To check and download the TN HSC +2 result 2024, candidates will have to submit their registration number and date of birth.

Among the three streams last year, students in science have performed the best with a passing percentage of 96.32 per cent. While in the commerce stream, the pass percentage was 91.63 per cent, the pass percentage among the arts students was recorded at 81.89 per cent.

The best performing districts in TN Class 12 result will be announced during the declaration of results at 9:30 am. Last year, the top-performing district was Virudhu Nagar. These are the top five districts from last year:

Virudhu Nagar: 97.85% students passed

Tirupur: 97.79% students passed

Peramblur: 97.59% students passed

Ariyalur: 97.59% students passed

Coimbtore: 97.57% students passed

Around 8.51 lakh students appeared in the TN Board HSE exams last year from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Of the total 8.51 lakh, there were more than 5.36 lakh students from the science stream, over 2.54 lakh students from commerce and nearly 14,000 students from the arts stream and around 46,000 students from vocational. The pass percentage last year stood at 94.03 per cent. 

TNDGE conducted the Tamil Nadu HSC +2 exams from March 1 to March 22 for science, arts, commerce and vocational streams. The TN HSE+2 exams started with the language exam on the first day. The Directorate conducted the Class 12 exams from 10:15 am to 1:15 pm. Students were also given 15 minutes of question paper reading time before the start of the exams. The exams were held in 3,986 exam centers across the state. Around eight lakh students have appeared for the exam.

TNDGE will today, May 6, announce the Class 12 HSC result 2024. Once released, the TN plus 2 result will be available on the official websites – dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in.

In 2023, girls performed better than boys by scoring a passing percentage of 96.38 per cent meanhile 91.45 per cent boys cleared HSE exams

Except for in 2021, when all students were promoted due to Covid-19, the Tamil Nadu state board recorded the highest pass percentage in 2023. Check previous years' overall pass percentage:

Last year, a transgender student from Namakkal district had registered and appeared for the TN Plus Two exams, successfully passing them. The district as a whole achieved an impressive passing percentage of 96.64%.

Over the past five years, there was a noticeable decline in the number of students taking the +2 exams. In 2019, the figure stood at 8,42,512. Subsequent years witnessed a downward trend, with 7,79,931 students in 2020, 8,16,473 in 2021, 8,06,277 in 2022, and finally, 8,03,385 in 2023. This steady decrease highlights a significant shift in participation rates over the specified period.

AP EAMCET 2024 hall tickets will be released on May 7. As per the scheudle, AP EAMCET 2024 exam is scheduled from May 16, 2024, to May 23, 2024.

Students can also check their results at national information center of all district collectorates and central branch libraries.

However, the CISCE students will be able to appear in the improvement exams for a maximum of two subjects from 2024 onwards. They need to shell out Rs 1,500 per subject for re-evaluation. Note, that the amount will be non-refundable.
