The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow has introduced a new tuition fee scholarship. The 50 per cent Humanities and Social Sciences Merit Scholarships – EU and International are accessible to the self funded international students, including those categorized under the EU fee group.

Eligibility for Humanities and Social Sciences Merit Scholarships:

– Applicants must hold a full time postgraduate taught degree programme starting in the same academic year before the scholarship application will be considered.

– The students who already have a full sponsorship from a government office or embassy are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. 

– Students are eligible for only one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.

– The subject eligibility for candidates is education, English, history, law, languages, politics, psychology, speech and language therapy, journalism, social policy, international relations and social work.

Students seeking internship are expected to showcase their excellence in academics (mostly in UK first class undergraduate degree or equivalent) and make significant contributions to the Strathclyde community while studying and also in their professional life after graduation.

The number of scholarships available under this programme is six. The internship benefits the students by deducting the 50 per cent of the candidate’s tuition fees. The duration of this scholarship is one year. The decision of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences on awarding scholarships is considered final.
