The application process for the SSC Central Police Organisation (CPO) 2025 examination is underway on the Commission’s official website, ssc.gov.in, with the deadline for submission set for October 16.
A total of 3,073 vacancies have been announced, including posts for SI (Executive) in the Delhi Police for both male and female candidates, as well as SI (General Duty) in the CAPF. The computer-based examination is scheduled to be held during the months of November and December 2025.

In the SSC CPO 2025 recruitment drive, the Unreserved (UR) category accounts for the highest number of vacancies, with a total of 1,170 posts—1,082 for male candidates and 88 for female candidates.
The Other Backward Classes (OBC) category follows with 766 vacancies, comprising 709 for males and 57 for females. Additionally, 283 seats have been allocated to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 434 to Scheduled Castes (SC), and 208 to Scheduled Tribes (ST).
Additionally, the recruitment includes a total of 2,861 Sub-Inspector (General Duty) posts across various Central Armed Police Forces. Of these, 2,651 positions are designated for male candidates and only 210 for female candidates, reflecting approximately 93 per cent of the vacancies allocated to men and just 7 per cent to women.
According to the eligibility criteria outlined in the notification, candidates must be between 20 and 25 years of age. Specifically, applicants should have been born no earlier than August 2, 2000, and no later than August 1, 2005, to qualify for the recruitment process. The SSC CPO exam is a gateway to roles in law enforcement and paramilitary services, and attracts thousands of aspirants each year.
To complete the application process, candidates must pay a fee of Rs 100. However, women applicants, as well as those belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), the Scheduled Tribes (ST), and eligible ex-servicemen, are exempt from this payment. The deadline for fee submission is October 17.
As per the SSC Delhi Police Sub-Inspector exam pattern for 2025, the selection process will include four stages: Paper 1, Physical Standard Test (PST) or Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper 2, and a Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
