SSC CGL 2025 tier 1 admit card out, 93% candidates get exam centres of choice

SSC CGL Tier 1 Admit Card Link: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has allotted exam centres for the upcoming Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025 tier-I, scheduled to be held between September 12 and 26, 2025, for paper 1 and paper 2 on separate days or shifts. The Commission released the the SSC CGL admit cards. Candidates can check their SSC CGL Tier 2 hall tickets at ssc.gov.in.

According to SSC, 93 per cent of the candidates have been assigned centres in line with their first, second, or third preference as indicated in the application process.

The remaining candidates have been allotted centres in nearby cities. For them, the average distance between their home address and the exam city is about 168 km, the commission said in a statement released on September 8.

This year, 28,14,604 candidates have registered for the exam, which will be conducted at 260 centres across 129 cities.

The SSC CGL tier 1 exam city intimation slips are already out. Aspirants can download the exam city slip from ssc.gov.in. Candidates must log in using their registration number and password to check and download their SSC CGL 2025 exam city slip.

Candidates need to know that the exam city slip is different from the admit card. While an admit card is a ticket to enter the exam hall and appear for the exam, an exam city slip is released for the convenience of the students to let them know which exam city they are allotted to plan their journey.

Candidates can appear for Tier 2 only when they qualify the tier 1 examination. This recruitment drive aims to fill Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts in various ministries, departments, and organisations of the Government of India.
