SPJIMR introduces two-year PGDM online course on Coursera

The candidates will have live sessions from industry professionals, SPJIMR’s faculties and leaders in respective fields.

SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) has introduced a two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management online programme on Coursera. The programme is designed for professionals who want to pursue formal education while maintaining their jobs and continue residing in their current locations.

The PGDM online curriculum is designed in consultation with industry veterans, as per Coursera. The candidates will have live sessions with industry professionals, SPJIMR’s faculties and leaders in their respective fields.

The first year of the two-year-long programme will have functional and general management courses, while in the second year students can choose from six industry-oriented micro-specialisations. There will be a total of 80 credits amounting to 2400 hours of engagement. The degree will be delivered in blended mode providing both synchronous and asynchronous learning options.

The teaching pedagogy includes live sessions by SPJIMR core and visiting faculty, simulations, pre-recorded videos explaining the basics, case analysis and discussions, simulations, tutorials, and peer learning through group work sessions. The programme also includes three campus immersions of five days each.

Under the mentorship programme, students will get the opportunity to interact with entrepreneurs and industry leaders. The cohorts will be designed to help them build problem-solving, leadership and communication, accountability and social sensitivity competencies. Candidates will also be a part of the SPJIMR alumni network.
