Punjab Board (PSEB) Class 12 results 2016: Punjab Secondary Education Board (PSEB) has announced Class 12 result 2016 on May 13. The senior secondary (10+2) examination was held from March 1 and ended on April 5. Over three lakh students appeared for the exam.
Mahima Nagpal of Ludhiana bagged the first position in the state by securing 99.56 per cent marks. Interestingly, all three top slots (without sports) were taken away by non-medical stream students this year.
Learning from last year’s ‘mistake’ when students and parents protested over a combined merit list that was issued for those ‘with sports’ and ‘without sports’ for Class XII, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will issue two merit lists this year.
As many as 3,18,453 have appeared for this year’s PSEB Class 12 exam, out of which 2,44,487 have passed. This year’s pass percentage is 76.77.
