During the NEET UG 2025 application, candidates will have to upload scanned images of their recent passport size photograph taken after January 1, 2025. In addition to the scanned images of the passport sized photo, the signature, left and right hand fingers and thumb impression, citizenship certificate (if applicable), social category certificate/ applied for application, Class 10 marksheet and Class 10 passing certificate or equivalency certificate(s) for conversion of CGPA or grades, in percentage as also duly indicating date of birth and PwBD and PwD certificate will also have to be uploaded.
The NEET UG 2025 exam centre will be opened three hours before the start of the test. No candidate shall be allowed to enter the exam centre after 1.30 pm. Exams will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm.
While filling up the NEET UG 2025 online application form, candidates will have to select three cities as their choice of cities for the exam centre in order of their priority. Choice of centre cities will be limited to the state of permanent address or state of present address only. For convenience, the candidates may select their own city or neighbouring cities in their state of residence only and not for far away cities in other states.
As a first, NTA will resolve ties through a random process with the guidance of an independent expert committee if all the provisions are exhausted. The tie-breaking criteria will not include the NEET UG application number and age this time. c. Candidate obtaining higher marks or percentile score in physics in the test, followed by,
d. Candidate with less proportion of the number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the test,
e. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in biology (botany and zoology) in the test, followed by
f. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in chemistry in the test, followed by

Indian Citizens or overseas citizens of India (OCI) intending to pursue UG medical courses in a foreign medical or dental institute also need to qualify NEET UG.
As per the NEE UG 2025 application form rule, candidates who have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before December 31 of the year of their admission to the first year of the UG medical course will be eligible to register for NEET UG. Candidates irrespective of their categories must be born on or after December 31, 2008.
There is no upper age limit to register for NEET UG.
The NEET UG 2025 will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Candidates are advised to take 6-8 Passport size coloured photographs with white background. The photographs are to be used for uploading on online application form, for examination, and also for counselling and admission processes. This is to ensure that the same photograph is used for all documents and all purposes related to NEET UG 2025, a statement on the NTA NEET UG information website said.
Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and mobile number provided in the online application form are their own and/or Parents/Guardians only as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered mobile number only. The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a plea seeking directions to cancel the all India quota (AIQ) round 3 of NEET-PG 2024 counselling and to conduct it afresh. A bench of Justices B R Gavai and K Vinod Chandran passed the order after the counsel appearing for the National Medical Commission (NMC) said any such direction would have a cascading effect in all the states.
“In case anything has to be done now, it will have a cascading effect in all the states because students have already taken part in the counselling,” said the counsel. He said there was a time scheduled for post-graduate (PG) admission.
While dismissing the petition, the bench observed if it would entertain the plea filed by the three petitioners, “we will have another 30 here”.

The centre had released guidelines to regulate misleading advertisements by coaching institutes, prohibiting false claims like 100 per cent selection or 100 per cent job security.
The final guidelines, drafted by the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA), come in the wake of several complaints on the National Consumer Helpline. The CCPA has issued 54 notices and imposed penalties of about Rs 54.60 lakh till date.
“We have seen coaching centres deliberately concealing information from prospective students. Therefore, we have come out with the guidelines to provide guidance to people involved in the coaching industry,” Consumer Affairs Secretary Nidhi Khare told reporters. The government is not against the coaching centres but the quality of advertisements should not undermine the consumer rights, she said.
– Facilitate setting up of daycare cancer centres in all district hospitals over the next three years and 200 of these will be established in 2025-26
