
NEET UG 2024 Counselling: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will end the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 counselling registration process today (August 20). The NEET UG 2024 counselling is held for admissions to MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing programmes. Candidates who are interested to apply for the admission have the last chance to submit their application and appear for counselling.
The NEET UG counselling process started on August 14. The verification of the tentative seat matrix by participating institutes on August 14-15.
NEET UG 2024 qualified and eligible candidates are required to register on the MCC website – mcc.nic.in to participate in the counselling process for the allotment of seat.
The choice filling and locking process options are also available till today. Candidates can finalize their selections, locking them between 4 pm and 11.55 pm on August 20. During the choice filling period, candidates are required to prioritise their preferred colleges and courses based on their NEET UG 2024 scores.
The MCC will process seat allotments from August 21 and will conclude on August 22. The results will be announced on August 23 and then candidates with allotted seats must report to their respective colleges between August 24 and August 29 to complete admission formalities.
Finally, verification of the data for joined candidates by institutes will take place on August 30-31, followed by data sharing with MCC.
The application against the second round of counselling is scheduled to begin on September 4. The NEET UG 2024 counselling process will include three rounds and a stray vacancy round. Stray round will depend upon the number of seat left vacant after two rounds of NEET UG counselling.
This counselling will cover 15 per cent all India quota (AIQ) seats, and seats in central and deemed universities, private colleges, Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) institutes, AIIMS, and JIPMER.
