Karnataka SSLC result 2024 passing marks: The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) on May 9 declared the SSLC result where the pass percentage has dropped by 30 per cent — from 83.89 per cent last year to 73.40 per cent in 2024.
As a result of the low pass percentage, the board has enhanced the normalisation by increasing the grade marks from 10% to 20%, resulting in a pass percentage of 73%. The qualifying marks for the Karnataka SSLC exam have been reduced from 35% to 25%.
The actual pass percentage is 54%. Over 2 lakh students who failed were given grace marks to increase the pass percentage to 73%.
“The reason for the decrease in pass percentage is due to webcasting which was introduced in order to reduce malpractice and ensure examination integrity,” Ritesh Kumar Singh, principal secretary school education department.
Students who appeared for the SSLC exams can now check their marks at karresults.nic.in. About 78 schools across Karnataka record zero per cent results of which three are in Bengaluru. This year, the SSLC exams were conducted from March 25 to April 6. The Karnataka SSLC exams were conducted at around 2,800 exam centres across the state.
The online Karnataka board Class 10 result 2024 is provisional in nature. Students can get the original marksheet from their schools. They should ensure the accuracy of their details given in the marksheet. The online result will consist: name, roll number, school name, subjects and there codes, marks obtained in theory and practical and pass or fail status.
