Those who have already applied in January attempt can try their luck at the exam again. This will not be counted as the second attempt as the exams fall in the same academic year. Further, only the best of the two — January or April exam score will be calculated. JEE Main will be held from April 3 to April 9, 2020.
A final rank list will be released by the NTA along with the JEE Main April result. This will be inclusive of the January and February candidates. In JEE Main January 2020, a total of 11 lakh candidates applied of which over 9 lakh were only for the BTech courses. Further, this was the first year when the long form or numerical type questions were included in the exam.

There will be a total of 75 questions, of which each sestion has 20 MCQs and five long form questions. Each question will score four marks and for wrong marks one mark will be deducted. There will be no negative marking in the long form questions.
The application fee is Rs 650. For female candidates the same is Rs 325. For Sc, ST, PwD and Tragender category the fee is Rs 325. Those wish to appear for Both paper will have to submit Rs 13000. For reserved category candiates and females the same is Rs 650.
For foreign students, the fee is Rs 3000 for makes and Rs 1500 for females, per exam.

While the applications can be submitted till March 6, 2020. Candidates can continue paying fee till March 7, 2020. No form will be accepted without the payment of the application fee.

The male candidates (General/ OBC) category have to pay an application fee of Rs 500 while the reserve category candidates and female applicants have to submit Rs 250
JEE Main can be attempted by anyone who has cleared class 12 with at least five subjects. Though the JEE Main question paper is based on PCM, it is not necessary to have these as main subjects
The official notification by NTA has invited applications from students who have cleared class 12 exam in 2018, 2019 and are appearing for in 2020. Several screenshots claiming to be taken during the Joint Engineering Examination (JEE) Main January 9 exam have gone viral on social media. While many Twitter users have been sharing the screenshots of the questions, these have been circulated from a thread in Quora — a question-answer based website under the thread, ‘what is the most disturbing picture you have seen.’
The thread went active allegedly on the first day of the BTech entrance exam that was from January 6. The result of JEE Main was released on January 17.

The scanned image of the candidate should be passport size and the dimensions should be 30mm X 45mm. The scanned image of the signature should be of the dimensions — 80mm X 35mm. The documents file format should be a .jpg or .jpeg and the file size should not be more than 80KB each
