JEE Main Answer Key 2025 Session 2 Highlights: NTA releases provisional answer key at jeemain.nta.nic.in, raise objections by April 13

The top 2.5 lakh candidates who qualify JEE Main 2025 will be able to register for JEE Advanced exam at jeeadv.ac.in. Those who crack JEE (Advanced) 2025 will be allowed to participate in Joint Seat Allocation process for a seat at an IIT.

The Ministry of Education has given an additional charge to Vineet Joshi, the current Secretary of the Department of Higher Education. He is appointed as the chairperson of the University Grants Commission (UGC). This decision has been taken following the retirement of the previous UGC chairman, Prof Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar. Joshi will discharge his duties as UGC chairperson till a full-time appointment is made or until further orders are issued.

An alumnus of IIT Kanpur, Vineet Joshi holds a BTech in Mechanical Engineering. He went on to earn an MBA in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi, where he was a gold medalist. He later completed a PhD in Quality Management from IIFT.

The last date for fee payment is May 5, up to 5 pm. A fee of Rs 3,200 will be applicable. For females and reserved category candidates, the application fee is Rs 1,600.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) and IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation have partnered with Ziroh Labs, a California-based Innovation-driven Deep-Tech Startup, to establish a Centre of AI Research (CoAIR) to solve India’s compute accessibility challenges. 

The CoAIR seeks to focus on developing practical, efficient AI solutions focusing on CPU and edge device inferencing. In a step towards making AI Models solve accessibility problems, Ziroh Labs unveiled the first version of ‘Kompact AI at IIT Madras today, April 9. Kompact AI is an AI platform that enables foundational models to be built and served using CPUs without requiring GPUs (Graphics Processing Units, which are expensive and hard to obtain).

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shoolini University. The collaboration is aimed at launching a joint Minor Programme in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Under the MoU, the two institutions, alongside the Agricultural and Water Technology Development Hub (AWaDH), a Technology Innovation Hub at IIT Ropar, will introduce a 15-credit Minor Programme in “Artificial Intelligence + X.”

The initiative is built on a ‘Learning by Practice’ approach and will be jointly certified by Shoolini University and IIT Ropar. It aims to equip students with AI competencies tailored to their core disciplines such as Agriculture, Biotechnology, Management, and more

In the April 7 JEE Main morning shift, mathematics was the most challenging section, chemistry was the most straightforward among the three sections and the physics section in the JEE Main 2025 ranged from easy to moderate difficulty. In the evening shift, the exam was moderate. Chemistry turned out to be easy in the second shift, physics had a mix of simple and moderately tough problems, while mathematics stood out as the toughest.

The exam held on April 2 was considered moderate overall. The JEE Main April 2 paper was described as “balanced but lengthy.” Physics was moderately tricky, mathematics was lengthy and moderate, and chemistry was relatively easy. Shift 2 maintained a similar trend, with chemistry rated the easiest, physics moderate, and mathematics the most challenging.

The JEE Main 2025 Session 2  Paper 1 was held for admission to BE and BTech programs on April 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8. 

The provisional answer key will be released soon, however, there is no update from the NTA on the same. Once released, the JEE Main session 2 answer scripts can be downloaded from jeemain.nta.ac.in.
