A total of 1,80,200 candidates appeared in both papers 1 and 2 in JEE Advanced 2024, held on May 26. In this exam, 48,248 candidates have qualified, of which 7,964 are female candidates. Ved Lahoti of IIT Delhi zone is the top ranker in the Common Rank List (CRL). He obtained 355 out of 360 marks. Dwija Dharmeshkumar Patel of IIT Bombay zone is the top-ranked female candidate with CRL 7. She has obtained 332 out of 360 marks.

To access the JEE Advanced result 2024, candidates will require their application number and date of birth. The exam was conducted on May 26. The JEE Advanced 2024 exam had two papers, each containing three sections: physics, chemistry, and maths. The exam included multiple-choice questions (MCQs), multiple-select questions (MSQs), and numerical questions. If a question is dropped from the JEE Advanced 2024 question paper, full marks for that question will be awarded to all candidates irrespective of the fact that they have attempted the questions or not.

JEE Advanced AIR 2 appeared for both JEE Main sessions, says ‘passion for physics’ helped cracking exam
Aditya said that this year, the JEE Main and JEE Advanced papers were comparatively easier than the previous years.
“Appearing in the actual JEE Advanced exam itself was a memorable experience. I appeared in a large number of mock tests which helped me learn how to maintain composure during the exam which indeed helped on the final day,” he said.
The AIR 2 is right now in Malaysia for the Asian Physics Olympiad. The 24th Asian Physics Olympiad is being held from June 3 to 10. He appeared for the Class 12 board exam this year from a CBSE school. He scored 95.6 per cent in Class 12 and 96.8 per cent in Class 10.

JEE Advanced Result 2024 Live Updates: Distribution of toppers zone-wise
The IIT Madras zone is the highest contributor to qualified candidates — 145 of its 11,180 candidates feature in the top 500. Four out of the top 10 are also from this zone.
The Madras zone — which comprises Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry — is also known as the IIT Hyderabad zone and was the biggest contributor of qualifying candidates in JEE Advanced 2023 as well. Last year, there were 10,432 qualifying candidates from this zone, with 174 candidates featuring in the top 500 and six out of top 10 candidates.
The distribution of qualifying candidates among seven zones this year shows that as many as 10,255 are from IIT Delhi and 9,480 are from the IIT Bombay zones. From the IIT Roorkee zone, 5,136 students have qualified, followed by 4,928 from IIT Kanpur, 4,811 from IIT Bhubaneshwar and 2,458 from IIT Guwahati zone.

JEE Advanced AIR 9 Dhruvin Doshi: ‘Stayed away from social media, shifted to hostel to save travel time’
A resident of Mulund, Dhruvin shifted to the hostel facility of his coaching institute where he prepared for JEE-Advanced. “It was a two-year program, For the first year I travelled from Mulund to Andheri to study. But in the second year, along with a few friends from Mulund, we decided to shift our base to a hostel so that we do not spend time and energy in travelling. Like most high scorers, Dwija is happy to know that her entry to IIT Bombay in the CSE branch is now almost final as she features among the top 10 JEE-Advanced candidates.
Daughter of a mathematics teacher, Dwija took a liking to this subject at a very young age. “My father is a mathematics teacher in school. I developed a love for the subject. I was sure to take engineering for higher education and began my preparation early on,” said Dwija, who joined Allen coaching institute in Rajkot from her Class 11. Dwija’s mother is a homemaker and her younger brother is in Class 5.

JEE Advanced Result 2024 Live: AIR 1 Ved Lahoti says ‘healthy competition at Kota helped clear this exam’
Ved’s interest in math made him pursue non-medical. He was enrolled in a two-year classroom coaching programme in Kota. He is originally from Madhya Pradesh’s Indore. Though he stayed alone, his mother went to see him at Kota once every two months. He said that the competition in the city was a healthy one and that it is necessary to succeed in any field. “A positive pressure, combined with healthy competition is necessary to clear an exam like JEE Advanced,” he added.
He said that talking to his parents over the phone daily did not make him feel alone while he was preparing for JEE.

The maximum number of candidates have qualified from IIT Madras zone, followed by IIT Delhi Zone and IIT Bombay zone. Among the top 500 candidates, 145 are from IIT Madras zone, followed by 136 from IIT Bombay zone and 122 from IIT Delhi zone.

Vedant Saini, son of a doctor couple in Chandigarh, achieved an all-India rank of 14. Vedant achieved a perfect score of 100 in the JEE Main results announced in April. He resides in Sector 32, Chandigarh. Vedant’s father, Dr Shiv Sajan Saini, is an associate professor at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, while his mother, Vidhushi Mahajan, is a paediatrician at Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32.
“We were sure that he would make it. In fact, he is very fond of mathematics. So much so that he was selected for the International Maths Olympiad this time, too, the first level of which was to be held in Chennai. However, the dates clashed with JEE Advanced, and he had to choose one of the two, so he dropped the Olympiad,” he told The Indian Express.

Out of the 21,634 candidates registered from the Kanpur Zone, which was coordinated by IIT Kanpur, 21,169 appeared for the examination, and 4,926 have successfully qualified.Specifically, 17,700 male candidates registered, 17,333 appeared, and 4,338 qualified. Meanwhile, 3,934 female candidates registered, 3,843 appeared, and 590 qualified.
"In recognition of these commendable results and the efforts of the students, IIT Kanpur is delighted to continue its special "Bright Minds Scholarships" for the All-India Top 100 rank-holders of JEE Advanced 2024 for the fourth consecutive year. JEE Advanced Result 2024 Live Updates: Distribution of toppers zone-wise
The IIT Madras zone is the highest contributor to qualified candidates — 145 of its 11,180 candidates feature in the top 500. Four out of the top 10 are also from this zone.
The Madras zone — which comprises Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry — is also known as the IIT Hyderabad zone and was the biggest contributor of qualifying candidates in JEE Advanced 2023 as well. Last year, there were 10,432 qualifying candidates from this zone, with 174 candidates featuring in the top 500 and six out of top 10 candidates.
The distribution of qualifying candidates among seven zones this year shows that as many as 10,255 are from IIT Delhi and 9,480 are from the IIT Bombay zones. From the IIT Roorkee zone, 5,136 students have qualified, followed by 4,928 from IIT Kanpur, 4,811 from IIT Bhubaneshwar and 2,458 from IIT Guwahati zone.

A resident of Mulund, Dhruvin shifted to the hostel facility of his coaching institute where he prepared for JEE-Advanced. “It was a two-year program, For the first year I travelled from Mulund to Andheri to study. But in the second year, along with a few friends from Mulund, we decided to shift our base to a hostel so that we do not spend time and energy in travelling. Like most high scorers, Dwija is happy to know that her entry to IIT Bombay in the CSE branch is now almost final as she features among the top 10 JEE-Advanced candidates.
Daughter of a mathematics teacher, Dwija took a liking to this subject at a very young age. “My father is a mathematics teacher in school. I developed a love for the subject. I was sure to take engineering for higher education and began my preparation early on,” said Dwija, who joined Allen coaching institute in Rajkot from her Class 11. Dwija’s mother is a homemaker and her younger brother is in Class 5.

Ved’s interest in math made him pursue non-medical. He was enrolled in a two-year classroom coaching programme in Kota. He is originally from Madhya Pradesh’s Indore. Though he stayed alone, his mother went to see him at Kota once every two months. He said that the competition in the city was a healthy one and that it is necessary to succeed in any field. “A positive pressure, combined with healthy competition is necessary to clear an exam like JEE Advanced,” he added.

Vedant’s father, Dr Shiv Sajan Saini, is an associate professor at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, while his mother, Vidhushi Mahajan, is a paediatrician at Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32.
“We were sure that he would make it. In fact, he is very fond of mathematics. So much so that he was selected for the International Maths Olympiad this time, too, the first level of which was to be held in Chennai. However, the dates clashed with JEE Advanced, and he had to choose one of the two, so he dropped the Olympiad,” he told The Indian Express.
