Air Transport is a complex and rapidly changing macro-system. Safety is supported by a set of regulatory requirements, already implemented for many years but in constant evolution. Beyond regulations and technical developments, it is necessary to engage all actors at all levels of organizations so that they can contribute positively to Safety. Safety Management remains a major challenge and requires adapted skill, including soft skills communication, leadership and assertiveness, IIT Madras stated in an official press release.
“Our relationship will touch every passenger flying in and out of India and we are delighted to be part of such an initiative. There is a need for a consistent way of education and skilling as the volume of travel increases frequently and associated challenges to the safety of the industry. We strongly believe that our workforces leverage this program and equip themselves to help travellers,” said Prof V. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras.
