IIT-Kanpur registers 1000 enrollments in eMasters degree programme

So far, over 220 professionals have graduated with an eMasters degree from IIT Kanpur.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur has registered 1000 enrollments in the eMasters programme that was launched in January 2022. This eMasters programme by IIT Kanpur does not require a GATE score.

The new cohorts of this programme will be in 10 specialised fields including Data Science and Business Analytics, Next Generation Wireless Technologies, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Financial Technology and Management, Business Finance, Public Policy, Climate Finance and Sustainability, Quantitative Finance and Risk Management, and Sustainable Construction Practices and Project Management.

So far, over 220 professionals have graduated with an eMasters degree from IIT Kanpur and have successfully scaled their careers in the new-age domains, the institute claimed. A significant portion of participants come from engineering and development backgrounds, with a notable contribution from managerial roles, followed by analysts and leadership roles.

When it comes to past professional experience, 30 per cent come with less than 5 years of experience, 24 per cent with 5-10 years, and 46 per cent boast over 10 years of expertise.

These new programmes are offered in a mix of weekend-only live interactive classes and self-paced learning modules. The 60-credit, 12-module industry-aligned curriculum is taught by faculty and researchers from IIT Kanpur. Programme participants gain access to the IITK Incubation Cell and alumni network, enriching their experience with opportunities for career advancement and networking.
