JoSAA Counselling 2025 Round 2 Result: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the Round 2 seat allotment result for JoSAA Counselling 2025 on June 25 at 5 pm. Candidates who have participated in the counselling process can check their allotment status by logging in at the official website, josaa.nic.in.
This follows JoSAA’s recent decision to extend the Round 1 seat acceptance and online reporting deadlines to accommodate candidates facing payment or document verification issues.
As per the updated counselling timeline, the last date to resolve fee payment issues for Round 1 is June 23 by 5 pm, while the deadline to respond to Round 1 queries is June 24 by 10 am. The Round 2 seat allotment result will be declared on June 25 by 5 pm.
Following this, candidates allotted a seat must complete the online reporting process, which includes document upload, fee payment, and submission of willingness (freeze, float, or slide), between June 25 and June 29 by 5 pm. The last date to pay the seat acceptance fee is June 29, and any payment-related issues must be resolved by June 30 by 5 pm. Queries related to Round 2 allotments must be addressed by July 1 by 10 AM, while the Round 3 seat allotment result will be published on July 2 at 10 am.
Seat acceptance options in JoSAA Counselling
Candidates have three options for seat acceptance during the JoSAA counselling process. The ‘Freeze’ option allows candidates to accept the allotted seat and exit from further counselling rounds.
The ‘Float’ option enables them to accept the current seat while remaining eligible for allotment in a more preferred course or institute in the subsequent rounds. The ‘Slide’ option allows students to retain their allotted institute but be considered for higher-preference courses within the same institute, if available in later rounds.
Steps to pay the seat acceptance fee
To complete the seat acceptance process, candidates should visit the official JoSAA website at josaa.nic.in, log in using their application number and password, and access the payment section. They must select the online payment option, complete the transaction, and download the confirmation page for their records. It is crucial to ensure that the payment is made before the deadline to secure the allotted seat and continue with the admission process.
